Buda Chick-Fil-A to Undergo Half-Million Dollar Renovation

The filing lists that the renovations will take place in late 2023, with an estimated completion date of October 30th.

The national chicken sandwich chain Chick-fil-A seeks to remodel its interior and drive-thru capabilities at its 15500 S Interstate 35 location in Buda, according to a recent filing with the State of Texas. The location stands on key territory south of Austin, just off I-35.

The filing states that the renovations will specifically concern “Interior extension of the drive-thru cockpit area and addition of an exterior door. Finish modifications and patching as required, new equipment provided, and new structural support at demolished wall” and will cost an estimated $500,000 to complete. 

The filing lists that the renovations will take place in late 2023, with an estimated completion date of October 30th.

What Now Austin recently reached out to John Romanello, Chick-Fil-A’s Principal Program Lead to inquire about the changes and how they will affect traffic flow and customer experience, along with further detail about the interior remodel, but he was not immediately available for comment.

Founded in Hapeville, Georgie by Truett Cathy in 1946, Chick-Fil-A has since become one of the most notable and ubiquitous fast casual restaurants in the United States. Chick-fil-A is especially known for its chicken sandwiches, chicken tenders, hospitable staff, and being consistently, unequivocally closed on Sundays.
