According to recent reporting in Eater, a new BBQ joint is soon coming to East MLK. Micklethwait Craft Meats will soon be opening a physical restaurant at 4602 Tanney Street.
“Owner and pitmaster Tom Micklethwait is turning the truck’s commissary and catering kitchen space into a whole market-style restaurant with indoor and outdoor areas, all the better to enjoy the smoked meats, sides, and sweets,”.
On a recent Instagram post of the upcoming establishment’s new facilities, the brand writes “We’re making lots of progress on our sweet little #bbqjoint in East Austin. We’re almost at the finish line and we can’t wait to share this special space with y’all. >>>Coming soooon!!”
No opening date has been announced.
