Pixel Palace Arcade and Bar, an upcoming locally-owned eatertainment establishment, will open this year in Round Rock, according to recent public records. The establishment will be located at 2471 AW Grimes Blvd, within suite 130, near Arby’s and Wings & Rings.
“Pixel Palace will be a hybrid bar and arcade filled with retro arcade games, console games of new and old, pinball, and games of chance,” Pixel Palace’s official website states. “Both beer and wine will be served, along with a variety of food options. Allowing both young and old to enjoy the gaming experience in a relaxed, fun atmosphere.”
What Now Austin reached out to owner Zane Fielding to inquire further about the establishment’s food and beverage offerings, but he was not immediately available for comment.
Fortunately, public records examined by What Now Austin illuminate key details for the project, stating that construction will concern a “gray shell build-out for bar and restaurant,” and the addition of a “full bar ( 484 sq ft ) and kitchen ( 770 Sq ft), 110 sq ft office and two 110 sq foot bathrooms,” along with “paving concrete for 250 sq foot patio.”
Pixel Palace’s official website further articulates that many of the arcade games on the premises will be “available for only a quarter”. Customers will also find pinball, basketball, and skeeball, and opportunities to participate in video game tournaments for classic titles such as Call of Duty and Super Smash Bros.
