“A lot of people might think pad Thai is the best dish, but I really like tiger cry, as well the panang salmon avocado.”

When asked why they decided to open their third location in Kyle, Owner Thana Trepetch tells What Now Austin “Kyle is a very interesting city, especially given its location between Austin and San Marcos. We love how Kyle, like Dripping Springs, is a small town that is booming.”

The menus for the two existing locations of Spoon + Fork — one in Austin, and the other in McKinney — showcase a concise but thorough range of Thai cuisine, with dishes such as panang curry, pineapple fried rice, Tom Kha soup, as well as lesser-known plates such as garlic catfish and tamarind shrimp.

Articulating her personal favorites on the menu, Trepetch says “A lot of people might think pad Thai is the best dish, but I really like tiger cry, as well the panang salmon avocado.”

And, finally, when asked about the restaurant’s potential opening dates, Trepetch lays out their current situation.

“That is a good question. We have been waiting for the developer to hand over the building or some time. Hopefully, the building will be delivered to us in January and then we expect around four months of renovations and improvements. We hope to open by mid-May 2023.”
