Lago Vista’s The Burger Bar is coming to Cedar Park, according to a recent filing with the State of Texas. The restaurant will be located at 2005 Little Elm Trail, within suite 100 of building 1. It will be the young brand’s second location by Hannah and Drew Mioton, a husband and wife team who founded the successful local sandwich shop Lakeside Subs, also in Lago Vista.

“Out in Lago there’s not any restaurants that are really doing everything as a craft kitchen,” co-owner Drew Mioton told What Now Austin last year. “We’ll be making everything in-house in our scratch kitchen.”

When asked for a culinary profile of the restaurant, Mr. Mioton says “We’ll be doing smash-style burgers, which have become more and more popular over the last five years. We’ll have around 12-14 burgers on our menu.”

And what can readers expect from the dining space?

“We have seating for 96 inside and are looking at a patio space that could seat around 40, but that wouldn’t be open until the summer.”

And the ambience?

“We’ll be having a sports bar-type atmosphere. In our area, the most TVs in any location have been around three or four, so we’ll be able to hone in on the sports bar concept.”

The upcoming construction, estimated to cost around $75,000, is expected to wrap up by November.
