“We base our businesses on the relationships we have with our guests,” Kamm said in a statement. “We’re known for our high standard of hospitality and getting people’s favorite dishes out on the table at Jack’s and at Salt Traders. Day Maker will continue this tradition with a new take on breakfast and lunch.”

The menu will reportedly feature “traditional brunch items, like eggs benedict and omelets, while also catering to the fun-loving Austin ambiance with a hangover-slaying Breakfast Burger and Big Belly Pastrami Sandwich.”

“I want every bite to bring a smile to our guests’ faces,” said executive chef Forrest Briwa, who previously worked at Salt Traders and Jack Allen’s.

When it opens, The Day Maker will run daily from 7 a.m.-3 p.m. with a walk-up coffee bar as well as full-service cocktail bar, something “quintessential” to the Austin vibe, according to the news release from the company.
