“We may have hit several bumps in the road but we know as long as we keep our eyes on God’s plan all will come to fruition at just the right time. Thank you for sticking with us through this incredible journey towards opening! We can’t wait to graze with you soon!!” Mesquite at the Warehouse stated on Instagram.

Coming to 305 S Lincoln Street — taking over “the original local feed store… an original gathering place over 73 years ago for ranchers to purchase supplies and have conversations about their industry and life” — Mesquite at the Warehouse will land near establishments such as Chase’s Place Cocktails, Fredericksburg Brewing Company, and The Auslander.

“Hunter and Amy Huffman launch their hospitality group with the opening of Mesquite at the Warehouse, within the historic building of Woerner Warehouse,” the concept shares on its website.

Described as “a modern upscale BBQ concept that features a large emphasis on fresh salads and gourmet sandwiches,” the eatery intends to serve “delectable smoked meats and locally grown produce to house-made sweets and bread.”

Mesquite at the Warehouse is slated to open this summer.
