According to recent reportage in Eater, Black Gold—an exciting new BBQ restaurant—is soon coming to Crestview.
‘’The term ‘Black Gold’ originated as an oil to riches phrase in Texas. But amongst the barbecue world it’s a known saying that is synonymous with the true craftsmanship that is – Texas Barbecue,” owner Mems Davila states on the official website.
“An idiom that’s been shared between pit masters and the BBQ scene alike. Referring to the salt and peppery bark smoked meats that are affectionately held at the pinnacle of our native state. Paired up with a smokey bourbon, an infused tequila margarita flight, or one of your favorite local Austin craft beers is how we roll in Texas. Aspiring to create unforgettable moments with one another is what Black Gold will be built on.”
