“The newly renamed cafe now serves an array of specialty bagels sourced from New York and has updated its breakfast and lunch menu. Rivery Coffee & Bagels also serves coffee, loose-leaf tea and European pastries,” the report states.

“They’re authentic hand-rolled and boiled bagels shipped from New York,” co-owner Jeff McElhaney (who runs the establishment alongside his wife Vinnie) tells What Now Austin. “We noticed a lack of bagels in the area and wanted to serve a food that wasn’t so typically Texan.”

When asked whether there are further changes in sight for the menu and governing concept, Mr. McElhaney says the following:

“We’ll maintain the base menu and cycle through seasonal menus such as Christmas-y options around the holidays warm sandwiches in fall, or cold sandwiches in the summer.”

Readers can experience the McElhaney’s new vision at 1500 Rivery Blvd.
