“The company, founded by Brandon Landry of BranLand Hospitality and backed by retired NFL quarterback Drew Brees, inked a five-unit franchise deal at the end of 2023 with franchisee Jonny Rodgers of residential real estate agency Den Property Group, who will bring those restaurants to North Austin,” the report states.

“I saw posts about Smalls Sliders on Drew Brees’ social media, and the concept immediately piqued my interest,” Rodgers said in a written statement. “I’m an entrepreneur at heart, and have a passion for hospitality and client satisfaction, which Smalls is also big on. After meeting with the corporate team, I knew they were building something special and I wanted to be a part of it.”

“The Austin metro could be home to 12 to 15 Smalls Sliders, Leveille said. The first five stores are expected to open over a five-year span, he said. Rodgers aims to open the first Smalls Sliders in early 2025, according to the company,” the report continues.

“We expect that they will exceed their development obligations in number of cans as well as timelines,” Leveille said in an email.

No addresses or opening dates have been set.
