The notable Austin brewery St. Elmo Brewing will soon be opening a significant location, according to a recent filing with the State of Texas. The brewery will be located at 8110 Springdale Rd in south Austin, near establishments such as Texas Saké Company and The Biscuit Hut.
Like most major breweries in the area, St. Elmo serves a variety of beers on tap such as kolsch, imperial stout, English brown ale, IPAs, and other original brews. The brewery also serves wine, cider, and yerba mate. In way of food, the original location serves fried chicken dishes and curry plates under the Spicy Boys Friend Chicken brand.
What Now Austin reached out to owner Bryan Winslow to inquire about the new brewery and his potential plans for its space, servings, and opening dates, but he was not immediately available for comment.
What is known, however, according to the filing with the State of Texas, is that the construction is estimated to cost around $4,500,000 and will span around 13,472 square feet. The filing also estimates a construction completion date of late August 2023, implying that the brewery may not be functional until Q4 2023.
