Unfortunately, Mr. Davila was not available for comment after several attempts to contact him — however, enough information exists in the public sphere to illuminate key details about this exciting development.

Notably, the restaurant will be taking up the space of Third Coast Vans & Accessories / Texas Truck & Trailer, a former auto repair store of nearly 3000 square feet. Indeed records examined by What Now Austin state that construction will concern “interior remodel to convert automotive repair use to restaurant use.”

Given the likely thorough and painstaking conversion, the project is estimated to cost around $800,000 and will be reaching its conclusion, barring any setbacks, in November of 2023.

While no information is currently available to elucidate the culinary profile of Say When, readers can sample Davila’s well-established Wünder Pig at 10400 Menchaca Rd where they may find offerings such as pulled pork, ribs, slow-cooked turkey and other Texas BBQ classics.
