“Jimmy Seidel, founder and CEO of Snarf’s, said expansion has been on his mind for a long time, though his plan was dampened by the pandemic,” the report states. “Finding Austin sites also posed difficulties, he added. It took more than a year to open the first Snarf’s in Austin, which is located on Medical Arts Street. Now, the company is planning to open in North and South Austin — and it again took more than 12 months from scouting the sites to signing lease deals, he said.”

Citing VP of Development Natalie Brilliant, ABJ reports that the Burnet Road location is almost 2,500 square feet, with renovations costing $500,000.

“We looked everywhere, including the surrounding areas in Westlake and Round Rock. There were several other locations we really liked in addition to the two we ended up leasing, and those didn’t work out. So, we’re just trying to find trade areas where we feel we would be a good fit,” Brilliant said to ABJ.

“We’ve done really well in areas that are experiencing growth or regrowth. We’ve been lucky to go into a lot of neighborhoods where people hadn’t really started moving there yet and then it’s become very popular,” she said.

No opening date has been set.
