The smoothie and juice fast casual brand Tropical Smoothie Cafe will soon be opening a new location in Austin, according to a recent filing with the State of Texas. The store will be located at 8534 South Congress Avenue, near P Terry’s and Ramen Tatsu-Ya.

Franchisee Ankit Patel tells What Now Austin that this will be his 17th franchise with the brand and his very first in Austin after running several stores in Cincinnati, Ohio. 

“I started to franchise with this brand because it supports a healthier lifestyle and it is easy to operate,” Mr. Patel says. “I’ve been doing this for the last seven years.” 

Tropical Smoothies Cafe specializes in simple healthy selections such as wraps, flatbreads, quesadillas, salads, and an enormous variety of smoothies. 

When asked what are his particular favorite items on the menu, Mr. Patel confidently states “The Island Green smoothie and chipotle chicken are my favorite.” 

Narrating their mission on their official website, the company states “We work with suppliers that make us a force for good. Our commitment to responsibly sourced, safe and quality ingredients means more than just delicious food and smoothies; it means we can Inspire Better and spread sunshine all around.”

Until the new location opens its doors in March 2023, foodies can the brand at 9600 Escarpment Boulevard in Austin.
