Freebirds, the popular burrito chain, will soon be opening a Hutto location, according to recent public records. The restaurant will be located at 126 Chris Kelly Blvd, within suite 100, right off one of Hutto’s main thoroughfares.

Known as “Texas’s No. 1 Burrito”, Freebirds specializes in custom made burritos and bowls that can be made with a range of proteins such as steak, chicken, pulled pork, and a variety of vegetables — much like competitors Chipotle and Qdoba. Perhaps what most distinguishes the brand in the crowded burrito market, is its offering of Monster and Super Monster-sized offerings (extra-large and extra-extra large, respectively).

What Now Ausitn briefly reached out to Dan Hernandez, Director of Operations, for further information about the location and its exact opening dates, but he was not immediately available for comment.

Fortunately, the public records illuminate key details about the upcoming project: the construction project is described as the “interior finish-out of an existing shell building to accommodate a Freebirds restaurant”, taking up around 2500 square feet, costing $325,000, and estimated to finish in September of 2023.

Until the Hutto Freebirds opens its doors, eager readers can visit the chain all across the Austin metropolitan area and throughout the state of Texas.
